The New Jersey State Police, The State Troopers Eagle Association and the New Jersey National Guard will hold the 4th NJSP/NJNG camporee  May 16-18, 2014 at the New Jersey National Guard Training Center in Sea Girt, the home of the New Jersey State Police Academy.  This event is open to all Boy Scout Troops, Varsity Teams, Venture Crews and Exploring Posts.  Registration ends on April 1, 2014 or when 10,000 Scouts and Leaders have registered.  The theme of the camporee is Messengers of Peace, a world wide Scouting program launched in September 2011. It is a global initiative designed to inspire millions of young men and women in more than 220 countries and territories to work to work towards peace. Using state of the art social media, the initiative lets Scouts from around the world share what they have done and inspire fellow Scouts to undertake similar efforts in their own communities encouraging the completion of a Good Turn in your community and helping others.  This Good Turn needs to be completed before May 1 and a report submitted at the camporee.
